Registered Nurse RN - Med Surg

• Department: Medical Surgical 
• Schedule: Full Time Nights, 3 - 12 hour shifts every week

Welcome to our Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit, where compassionate care meets clinical excellence. Our Med-Surg unit provides comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or dealing with acute medical conditions. We pride ourselves on our patient-centered approach, focusing on individualized care plans that address both physical and emotional needs.

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
