Unit Details:
6 North Telemetry is an 18-bed intermediate care unit specializing in caring for cardiovascular patients with a diagnosis or comorbidities who may need telemetry monitoring. Nurses on this unit will develop or advance their skills to detect medical or cardiovascular issues, communicate with providers, and discover interventions to prevent emergent situations. Responsibilities for nurses on this unit include assessments, rhythm interpretations, lab value analyses, patient and family education, wound care, IV management, and medication administration and management. Advanced technology in the form of telemetry nursing support is enabled to help bedside staff treat patients with the highest level of care.
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.
