Manage the daily operations of the central sterile supply unit.
- Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Collect and report on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement. Work collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment.
- Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.
- Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system. Monitor quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities.
- Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
