6 months or more EEG experience preferred

What You Will Do

Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.

  • Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
  • Review patient's record and instruct patients prior to procedures. Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
  • Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
  • Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
