  • Schedule: 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East

What You Will Do

Serves as a patient navigator throughout the continuum of care.

 

  • Functions as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies,
    community organizations, and other customers.
  • Coordinates efforts for treatment and promotes quality improvement and educational efforts.
  • Compiles data, tracks outcomes, and makes recommendations for process improvement.
  • Provides referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured

What You Will Need

Licenses Certifications: 

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
    Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
    required.

Education:

 

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Professional licensure at time of hire
    required
