Technician-Orthopedic

• Department: ASMOC (Andrews Sports Medicine)
• Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Work Location: Birmingham, AL

Perform patient care and orthopedic procedures in assigned area.

• Assist with treatments requiring plaster casts and/or surgical procedures involving fractures as ordered by a physician.
• Set up and apply medical devices related to orthopedics.
• Report abnormal assessment findings or changes in orthopedic conditions to staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic policies/procedures through training, testing, and skills labs.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

•  BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
  Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

•  High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
