What You Will Do

Process credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers.

  • Review applications, prepare verification letters and maintain database.
  • Contact medical office staff, licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
  • Complete administrative duties, such as ensuring state medical licenses are up-to-date and checking the status of new license applications.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and legal requirements related to the Medical staff.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Credentialing Specialist credentialed from the National Association Medical Staff Services preferred. 

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
