Position Overview

What You Will Do

Direct development and implementation of emergency services policies, procedures and strategy.

  • Develop departmental goals, plans and standards.
  • Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding. Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
  • Administer and evaluate all clinical activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing for an accredited program OR Associate’s Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of nursing experience with 2 years leadership experience required;
  • 10 years nursing experience with 5 years leadership experience preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of Alabama.
