What You Will Do

Provides strategic and operational leadership for Support Services across UAB St. Vincent’s including
Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Guest Services, Linen Services, Patient
Transportation Services, Switchboard Services, Volunteer Services, Hospitality House, Conference
Center, Parking/Valet Services, Facilities Management, Biomed Services and other assigned functions.
Responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that support organizational goals,
regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, patient and employee experience, and financial performance.
Collaborates with executive, clinical, and operational leaders to drive operational excellence, foster
innovation, optimize resource utilization, and ensure services are aligned with industry best practices and
organizational priorities.

 

1. Oversees operations for assigned Support Services departments across UAB St. Vincent’s
facilities.
2. Develops and executes strategic plans, operational priorities, and performance objectives
that align support service operations with organizational goals, quality standards, patient
experience initiatives, and financial performance expectations.
3. Leads quality improvement, and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational
efficiency, service delivery, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall
departmental performance
4. Oversees departmental budgets, capital planning, resource allocation, and financial
performance to support operational and organizational goals
5. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, operational
readiness initiatives, Environment of Care expectations, safety programs, and
organizational policies and procedures
6. Collaborates with organizational, clinical, and operational leaders to support strategic
initiatives, operational effectiveness, and service excellence across assigned departments
7. Oversees contracted services, vendor relationships, and external partnerships to ensure
accountability, service quality, and compliance
8. Reviews operational, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement data to identify
opportunities for improvement and implement action plans to support organizational goals
9. Provides guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for leaders and staff while
promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
10. Represents assigned service lines in organizational committees, operational initiatives,
regulatory surveys, accreditation activities, and planning efforts.
11. Identifies operational challenges and develops solutions that support efficient operations,
regulatory readiness, and industry best practices
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What You Will Need

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related
    field required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience required.
  • Completion of an accredited Administrative Fellowship may be considered in combination with
    healthcare operations leadership experience.
